A Wounded Fawn
Inspired by surrealist art and Greek mythology, A WOUNDED FAWN follows the story of Meredith Tanning (Sarah Lind), a local museum curator who is dipping her toe back into the dating pool, only to be targeted by a charming serial killer (Josh Ruben). When a fateful romantic getaway between the two becomes a tense game of cat and mouse, both must confront the madness within him.

SELECTED PRESS
“A serial killer thriller marked by strong performances, a twisty plot and eye catching 16mm photography. Throughout, Stevens and his collaborators take familiar ideas and images and give them a fresh pop.” - Los Angeles Times
“Fierce, jagged and surreally sinister, it’s a spiritual companion piece to its illustrious Grindhouse and giallo predecessors that gets not only their look, but also their mood right, culminating in a prolonged finale of mind-bending insanity.” - The Daily Beast
“Stevens vigorously shakes a potent cocktail with ingredients from ‘80s lakeside slahers, ‘70s psychological mind freaks, Steven Kostanski-style do-it-yourself practical effects, folkloric woodland cult vibes, Greek mythology traced to the Furies — and that’s all on the surface.” - IGN
“On the heels of Girl on the Third Floor and Jakob’s Wife, Stevens continues to prove that he is one of the best indie horror directors to emerge into the mainstream.” - Collider

Director: Travis Stevens
Writers: Mark Steensland, Kathy Charles & Travis Stevens
Producers: Bob Portal, Barbara Crampton, Inderpal Singh & Travis Stevens
Starring: Barbara Crampton, Larry Fessenden, Bonnie Aarons, Nyisha Bell, Mark Kelly, Sarah Lind, Robert Rusler, Jay Devon Johnson, Phil Brooks, Omar Salazar, Angelie Simone, Ned Yousef, Giovanni Cruz, Monica Henry, Armani Desirae, Skeeta Jenkins and Kathe Newcomb

PRESS
“Like Stevens’ feature filmmaking debut, his followup includes a handful of memorable horror images: screen-filling gore every now and then, plus a few creepy shots of floating blood-suckers. But the film is more concerned with exploring deeply ingrained gender roles and the pressures of social expectations.” - Los Angeles Times
“More than anything, “Jakob’s Wife” offers the cheerful notion that vampirism can function as a form of marriage therapy and may even jumpstart a couple’s sex life.” - The Boston Globe
“This is Crampton’s movie through and through. The role is sexy, scary, gross, and vulnerable—sometimes all at the same time—and she sinks her teeth into it with aplomb..” - The A.V. Club
“While there are some serious themes at play, the movie still has plenty of gooey gory fun for horror fans. Director Travis Stevens did a great job making a believable world for the characters to play in and made something rare — a feminist vampire comedy. That is not something you see every day, and that uniqueness is in every frame. Believe me when I tell you that Jakob’s Wife is worth seeing.” - Film Threat
“Jakob's Wife, the endlessly entertaining horror-comedy from Travis Stevens about a minister's wife (an electric Barbara Crampton) who undergoes a startling and enlivening transformation, only to then deal with the bloody cost. It's a clever twist on vampire cinema that also manages to delicately and wonderfully balance elements of comedy, domestic drama, and horror, sometimes running them all through the span of one scene.” - SyFy
“It’s one of the best films from this year’s SXSW virtual fest. It’s destined to be a massive hit, breaking the genre molds to make Crampton, Fessenden, and Travis Stevens household names.” - ReelNewsDaily
“The film’s highlight (and one of the year’s best scenes, period) sees Anne rearranging her living room, lifting heavy furniture...and dancing to Concrete Blonde’s “Bloodletting.” It’s such a pure distillation of her newfound joy & ability, you can almost feel Stevens smiling...”" - Film School Rejects
"If you believe that the best and most innovative horror presents us with a new and heightened allegory for a specific and slightly-unexamined feeling, Travis Stevens’ terrific new film, Jakob’s Wife, should rocket to the top of your most-anticipated list. A surprisingly sweet horror-comedy (the emphasis, however, should be on the “horror” here), Stevens here presents vampirism as a compelling metaphor for the kind of mid-marriage conflict that one has when they’ve settled into a semi-comfortable routine with their chosen spouse." - Vanyaland
“All around, the acting in Jakob's Wife was superb, so even with the gallons of blood pouring out on screen every so often, the movie never feels too cheesy. In both the serious and the more comedic scenes, Crampton delivers as she always does, and her role as Anne already stands out as one of her most memorable performances. Fessenden is also not your traditional vampire movie hero, and yet he just brings a certain charm to the role of Jakob that really had me rooting for his character from start to finish.” - Movieweb
“The dynamic between Larry Fessenden and Barbara Crampton cannot be undersold...Fessenden and Crampton both bring a lifetime of experience and understanding to these roles and every minute they are on screen together is a damn delight." - Nightmare on Film Street
“Whether she’s tearing throats and guzzling gallons of practical gore or effortlessly rearranging her living room with her vampiric super-strength, Crampton’s portrait of late-middle age angst giving way to rebellion and reinvention is the highlight of the film.” - Slash Film
“With nods to the Stephen King bloodsuckers in The Night Flier and Salem’s Lot, director Travis Stevens also took inspiration from the more indie modern takes like Abel Ferrara’s The Addiction and Kiss of the Damned from Xan Cassavetes. But the most obvious connective tissue comes from Larry Fessenden’s New York classic Habit and the Grace Jones seductive thriller Vamp starring Robert Rusler. It’s really in the creature design and theatrical entrances of “The Master” where all of these influences allow Jakob’s Wife to soar off the ground, leap off rooftops and start to have a lot more fun with the genre.” - Dread Central
“Travis Stevens infuses Jakob’s Wife with the look and feel of campy ’80s horror-comedies like The Lost Boys, without ever losing sight of the repressive marriage at the heart of the story. It’s a unique spin on one of horror’s oldest tales, shot through with some biting social criticism about the insidious darkness lurking beneath the most seemingly banal of relationships.” - Bad Feeling Mag
“JAKOB’S WIFE is a vital and shocking modern vampire story that seduces you with your own fears and longing. It is empowerment by exsanguination. Using the fantasy construct of the classic vampire tale, it tackles the unfairness of how women are treated in our world and our potential to reclaim that power again.” - Nightmarish Conjuring
“Stevens clearly has a knack for this and his name is going to garner attention from horror fans with every project going forward. Jakob’s Wife is a blood gushing, throat ripping good time.” - Ghastly Grinning
“Like his first film, Jakob's Wife looks at gender politics through a cracked lens, one which reveals the toxicity of a certain kind of man and the ways it can poison those around them. The difference this time around is that this is not Jakob's story. It's the story of Jakob's wife. She has a name, motherfucker, and it's Anne. Ignore it at your own peril.” - F This Movie!

Girl on the Third Floor
(QUEENSBURY PICTURES / 2019)
Bursting pipes, rotting walls and unidentifiable slime were not what Don Koch (WWE legend Phil "CM Punk" Brooks) expected when he convinced his wife Liz (Trieste Kelly Dunn) that he could renovate their new Victorian home himself. In over his head, under duress and tempted by his old weaknesses, Don soon discovers that the house has its own dark, sordid history and won't be so easy to change after all....
Writer, Producer & Director: Travis Stevens
Starring: Phil Brooks, Trieste Kelly Dunn, Sarah Brooks, Elissa Dowling, Karen Woditsch, Travis Delgado, Anish Jethmalani, Bishop Stevens & Tonya Kay
___________________________________________________________
PRESS
“Gore and supernatural comeuppances ensue in a haunted-house flick that mostly eschews jump scares for more satisfying psychological and erotic twists. Punk gives an engaging performance as the increasingly unhinged Don, his tattooed torso and heavy metal playlist no match for the power of a ghostly girl done wrong.” - New York Post
“Stevens makes an impressive directorial debut here, smartly turning the sourness at Don’s core into all manner of viscerally disgusting rot and goo.” - Los Angeles Times
“A deceptively layered haunted house movie that's vicious in its indictment of toxic masculinity (and quite terrifying in its vision of home improvement gone terribly wrong)" - Fortune
"Girl on the Third Floor is more than resourceful and stylish enough for horror fans to eagerly anticipate Stevens’ directorial future — the opening credits alone suggest a refined skill set that’s well above genre average." - Variety
“Girl on the Third Floor is thrilling, distinctive, funny, scary, disturbing and smart. It should not be missed.” - Bloody Disgusting
"Girl On The Third Floor has enough carnage and bloodshed to satisfy all gorehounds. Director Travis Stevens gets terrific performances from an excellent cast, and the atmosphere is consistently foreboding. The set design, cinematography, and gooey practical effects are fantastic to behold." - Film Threat
"A truly memorable directorial debut." - Daily Dead
“The best of the program is Travis Stevens’ “The Girl on the Third Floor,” a genre hybrid about a deeply flawed man who enters into one of the most terrifying home rehab projects in movie history. Stevens is an admired veteran of indie horror, producing respected films like “Cheap Thrills,” “Starry Eyes,” “We Are Still Here,” and “68 Kill.” He makes his directorial debut here, and his experience on indie horror sets for the last decade pays off with a confidence behind the camera that never betrays the fact that this is actually a debut.” - RogerEbert.Com
“An unsettling and icky descent into a man-made hell.” - Film School Rejects
“Girl on the Third Floor uses predictability to generate suspense. It draws the audience through each step of the protagonist’s inevitable downfall, delivering copious foreshadowing and jump scares with simple practical effects. Marbles, mucus, and doorbells have never been so ominous..” - The Verge
“Girl On The Third Floor is both a highly accomplished haunted house story for the #metoo generation, and an examination of antediluvian male drives (for sex and power) that even the perfect domestic situation struggles to contain.” -SciFiNow
"Girl on the Third Floor succeeds as a straightforward haunted house film, but its unique cinematic eye and deep, ambiguous themes are what set it apart from the rest...a marvelous little ghost story" - Nightmare on Film Street
“Stevens breaks a man down, tears a house apart, and leaves us with the ultimate conclusion that forgiveness can only be granted so many times. People change, but only if they desire metamorphosis. Girl on the Third Floor is a portrait of victimization and the vengeful spirits who refuse to see others join them as more failed statistics, with erupting blood sink geysers for good measure.” - SlashFilm

24X36: A Movie About Movie Posters
(2016)
Movie posters have changed over the years because the film industry has changed as well. The days when movie studios could market films in complex ways are over. There was more balance between art and commerce in both studio movie making and movie marketing. Now, films made for artistic reasons are largely made outside of the Hollywood studio system and the methods to market studio films are almost solely focused on what works for audiences who don’t want to be creatively challenged, and “just want entertainment.” But there are always those who never forgot that the movies they loved could be celebrated in ways beyond just viewing them. Their love for movies extended to their appreciation of illustrated poster art. Just because studio marketing had changed didn’t mean that the art of movie posters had to die.
24 x 36 tells this story. Learn how artists like John Alvin and Roger Kastel created iconic posters. See why the poster world changed and most importantly, about the people that helped bring it back: the companies that commission modern posters, the galleries that display them and the fans who collect them. "An exceedingly good-natured Z-grade creature feature that finds Angel City under attack by a quite literal spider from Mars. Made with tongue welded firmly to cheek, loads of affection for big rubbery monsters, and some surprisingly accomplished bargain-basement effects, director Mike Mendez’s fifth schlock feature is strictly for genre buffs who’ll delight at the sight of Troma impresario Lloyd Kaufman get devoured by a giant arachnid — as well as anyone who found “Sharknado” a bit too highbrow for their taste."
